Holiday Decor 101

It’s finally the most wonderful time of the year! No matter what holiday you celebrate, chances are you’re going to be spending your time with family this time of year. If you’re hosting everyone this year, don’t worry, we got your kitchen decorations covered!

Decorating for family is not necessary by any means, but the spirit of the holidays always promotes warmth, togetherness and gratitude, so why not express that through your kitchen?! Here are some great decor tips for your kitchen space this year!

  • GLITZ & GLAMOUR

  • These pinecones not only scream winter and warmth, they show off a little razzle dazzle as well! While you can buy these at your local holiday shops, it makes for a great, relaxing DIY project. Start the fire, grab some glue and glitter and get working!

  • CLEAN & CHIC

  • Why do all holiday decorations have to be red and green? Take the modern, chic approach and decorate with white and gold accents. Use white candles and tableware, and accessorize with gold glitter! Another holiday DIY project? I think so!

  • KEEP IT LIGHT

  • Just because the sun is down by 5pm, that doesn’t mean your home has to be dark! Literally lighten up your space with fairy lights! It’s the easiest way to create a festive environment while allowing your guests to appreciate the delicious meal you cooked them! (Unless of course you just order take out, but hey, we don’t judge!)

At the end of the day, your family probably won’t care if your home is decorated with holiday cheer, or if you have Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas Is You” blaring out of your speakers, they just want to spend time with you! We here at Estate Kitchens hope you have a wonderful holiday season and happy new year!
